Adalwin Launches in Pune and Mumbai

Today, Adalwin.org goes live in Pune and Mumbai. After months of building, testing with early users, and refining our verification process with a small group of dedicated volunteers — we're ready to open the doors.

Why Maharashtra First?

Pune and Mumbai together are home to over 30 million people. They're also cities of contrast — tech parks next to informal settlements, high-rises overlooking chawls, families upgrading appliances every few years while other families make do with hand-me-downs that arrive by luck rather than system.

Maharashtra generates over 8 million tonnes of solid waste annually. A significant portion of that is reusable goods — furniture, electronics, clothing, appliances — that end up in landfills simply because there's no efficient way to connect someone who's done with something to someone who needs it.

That's what Adalwin fixes.

What You Can Do Today

If you want to donate: Create an account, list your item with photos and a description, and our volunteer network handles the rest. Verification, matching, and delivery are all coordinated through the platform.

If you need something: Browse available items or create a wishlist. When something matches, you'll be notified. Every item has been verified by a volunteer, so you know exactly what you're receiving.

If you want to volunteer: We're actively onboarding verification volunteers across both cities. The time commitment is flexible — even one Saturday morning a month makes a difference. You'll receive training, a verification toolkit in the app, and the satisfaction of being the human link in every successful donation.

Our Goals for the First Year

  • 10,000 items donated and matched across Pune and Mumbai
  • 500 active volunteers across both cities
  • 50 corporate partners channeling CSR donations through the platform
  • Zero items reaching recipients without verification

Built in India, for India

Adalwin isn't a foreign model transplanted here. We're built from the ground up for Indian realities — joint families with surplus goods, corporate offices that upgrade every few years, the cultural warmth of giving but the practical need for structure around it.

Our name comes from "Adal" — exchange, transformation. We believe every pre-loved item has a second life waiting. We've built the bridge. Now we need you to walk across it.

Welcome to Adalwin. Let's build something worth trusting.
